Pro Extreme
DESIGNATION:
PX or Pro Extreme followed by car number. PM, Pro Mod or Pro Modified not allowed.
Numbers must be at least 4” tall and on both side
windows, upper left of rear window and upper right of windshield.
FIELD: 16 car qualified field.
No minimum weight or maximum cubic inch limit.

REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS
BODY
BELLY PAN: Allowed. Pan must extend beyond the leading edge of the engine and any accessories. The front edge of the pan must have a 1 inch lip.
BODY: Funny car or one piece bodies not allowed even if equipped with doors. Maximum front end overhang of 45” as measured from centerline of front spindle. An ADRL approved extension may be used to reach 45” if the front end overhang of the body is less than 45”. All bodies must originate from a production vehicle. All new cars must be approved by the ADRL competition department prior to construction. Inside of front end and hood must be painted with ADRL approved fire retardant paint on any vehicle using any percentage of nitro methane for fuel.
DOORS: Required. Doors must be functional and able to be opened from both the inside and outside of the vehicle. Doors may be fabricated from carbon fiber, fiberglass or metal. A metal deflector between the fenders and the leading edge of the doors is required.
FIREWALL: Magnesium, aluminum or composite not allowed. All firewalls must be made of steel or titanium (.024 minimum thickness).
FLOORS: Replacing stock floors with .024" steel or .032" aluminum allowed (.032 on any vehicle using any percentage of nitro methane for fuel). Driver's side floor pan must be .024" steel (.032 on any vehicle using any percentage of nitromethane for fuel) and must be welded in place extending from firewall to back of driver's seat. Carbon fiber or composite materials may not be utilized in any portion of the flooring in the driver's compartment except for any panel located behind the driver including suspension covers and wheel tubs.
HOOD SCOOP: Allowed. One opening only.
TAIL LIGHT: Functional rear tail light is required.
WINDOWS AND WINDSHIELD: Required. May be replaced 1/8 inch think lexan, plexiglass or other shatterproof material. An opening with a 4" diameter minimum is required on side windows adjacent to the driver.
CHASSIS
BATTERY: Maximum of two batteries allowed. All batteries must be securely fastened. An external master electrical shut off clearly labeled “PUSH OFF” is required.
BRAKES: Four wheel brakes with dual master cylinder mounted above frame rails required.
CHASSIS: SFI 25.1 E or 25.2 certification required.
DRIVER LOCATION: Must be in stock location, on left side of vehicle.
GROUND CLEARANCE: Minimum of 3” required from whatever portion of the vehicles body or chassis that breaks staging beam to 12” behind front axle centerline. Minimum of 2” for remainder of vehicle.
SUSPENSION: Race car type suspension required. Solid suspension prohibited. Shock absorbers required for all four wheels.
TIRES: Automotive type tires designed specifically for racing required. Tires cannot be located outside of bodyline. Manufacturer, model and size information must be clearly designated.
WHEEL BASE: Minimum 100", Maximum 115". S-10, Ranger, Dakota Maximum 125". Maximum variation is 2” side to side.
WHEELIE BARS: Required, non metallic wheels required.
WHEELS: Wheels meeting SFI spec 15.1 mandatory. Maximum width 16”. Use of a liner mandatory on all non bead lock wheels.
DRIVELINE AND ENGINE
CLUTCH/FLYWHEEL: Flywheel and clutch meeting SFI 1.3, 1.4, or 1.5 certification required.
DRIVELINE: A full 360 degree drive shaft tube is required over yoke, extended a minimum of 9” from transmission tail shaft. Minimum thickness of tube housing is .050 cm. Two piece units accepted with a minimum of 6 3/8” grade 8 bolts. SFI 43.1 Driveshaft required.
ENGINE SETBACK: Maximum of 10% of total vehicle wheel base as measured from centerline of front spindle to center of front spark plug hole.
EXHAUST: Automotive type system designed specifically for racing required. Exhaust gasses must be directed out of the body towards the rear of vehicle and away from the driver and fuel system.
HARMONIC BALANCER: SFI 18.1 certification required.
FLYWHEEL SHIELD: SFI 6.3 certification required.
FUEL: Alcohol, gasoline, methanol and nitromethane allowed. Maximum percentage of nitromethane allowed in supercharged engines is 50%. Maximum percentage of nitromethane allowed in injected fuel engines is also 50% (temporarily). Anyone planning on utilizing an injected fuel engine with any percentage of nitromethane must first be approved by the ADRL competition department. INTAKE MANIFOLD: An ADRL approved burst panel is required on all vehicles.
NITROUS OXIDE: Allowed.
REAR END: Automotive type, Full-floater rear end required.
STARTER: Optional. No push starts allowed.
SUPERCHARGER AND OVERDRIVE: Use of any size centrifugal, roots-type or screw-type supercharger allowed. Maximum overdrive for a roots-type supercharger is 1.70 (70 percent over). Maximum overdrive for a PSI screw-type supercharger is 2.28 (128 percent over). Maximum overdrive for a Whipple screw-type supercharger is 1.60 (60 percent over). All screw-type superchargers must be certified to SFI Spec 34.1 and overdrive limit established to be eligible for ADRL competition. Any new screw-type supercharger must be approved for competition prior to competing at an ADRL event. All screw-type superchargers must display a current SFI Recertification tag.
TRANSMISSION: Any type allowed.
TURBOCHARGER: Allowed.
MISCELLANEOUS
CREDENTIALS: A valid ADRL membership and competition license is required. Valid IHRA and NHRA competition licenses may be transferred when presented with a current physical.
COMPUTER: Allowed.
DATA / ELECTRONICS ACQUISITION: Allowed.
STARTING LINE ENGINE CONTROL DEVICES: Allowed.
TOW VEHICLES: Allowed. A valid driver’s license is required to operate any type of tow vehicle. All passengers must be seated inside of vehicle with all doors closed. Riding in open hatchback, trunk or cargo area not allowed. ATV’s are allowed with a maximum of one passenger who must be seated at all times. Golf carts are allowed with a maximum of three passengers who must be seated at all times. Posted pit speeds must be obeyed at all times. If pit speed is not posted, maximum pit speed will be 10 mph.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT
DRIVER RESTRAINT SYSTEM: SFI 16.1 certification required. SFI 16.5 (7 point system) recommended, required in 2011.
ENGINE CONTAINMENT SYSTEM: ADRL approved lower engine containment system required. The system must include the oil pump and related components and be a minimum of 3” above ground.
FIRE SYSTEM: SFI 17.1 system required. System must contain a minimum of 20 lbs of Halon or equivalent. One nozzle required inside driver’s compartment must be directed at driver’s feet. Two or more nozzles must be directed at front of engine and fuel cell.
HEAD AND NECK RESTRAINT: SFI 38.1 required. An aluminum skid plate located above driver’s head is recommended.
HELMET: SN-2000 or newer of SFI 31.2 or 41.2 required. SA-2000, SA-2005 or 31.2A with a shield required when utilizing any percentage of nitromethane. Use of open face helmet prohibited. EjectHelmet Removal System (Part # SDR 890-01-30) recommended, required in 2011
MASTER ELECTRICAL CUTOFF: Required. Must be clearly labeled “PUSH OFF”.
PARACHUTES: Dual parachutes required. Separate shroud-line mounting points with 1/2” sleeved grade 8 bolts required.
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING:A driver's suit meeting SFI 3.2A/20, gloves meeting SFI 3.3/20, shoes meeting SFI 3.3/20 and a head sock meeting SFI 3.3 required. A head sock is not required when a helmet manufactured with a skirt meeting SFI 3.3 is used.
ROLL BAR PADDING: SFI 45.1 required.
SUPERCHARGER RESTRAINT: SFI 14.2 minimum required on all roots-type superchargers. SFI 14.21 required on all screw-type superchargers. You must utilize the entire assembly including bag, plate and straps.
TRANSMISSION: All transmissions must be covered by a one piece SFI 4.1 restraint.
UPHOLSTERY: If a metallic seat is used a flame retardant seat pad is required. Pour-in seat foamed with energy absorbing material recommended, required in 2011. Lateral helmet supports recommended, required in 2011.
WINDOW NET: SFI 27.1 required.
Pro Nitrous
DESIGNATION:

Flowmaster Extreme 10.5

Pro Extreme Motorcycle

DESIGNATION: PXM followed by motorcycle number. Numbers must be at least 3” tall and on both sides of body or wheelie bars panels.
FIELD: 16 bike qualified field.
No minimum weight or maximum CC limit.

REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS
BODY
BODY: One piece body representing original manufacturers design. Full fairing, half fairing, headlight permitted.
SPONSOR DECALS AND LOGOS: Must be prominently displayed on both sides of body or wheelie bar panels.
CHASSIS
BATTERY: Must be securely fastened within the frame parameter.
BRAKES: Single front 10” rotor or dual 8” rotors. Rear single 10”. Must be fully operational when applied.
GROUND CLEARANCE: Minimum 2” ground clearance with rider seated on the bike and no more than 10 lb. rear tire pressure.
TIRES: Maximum tire width, regardless of temperature or wear, not to exceed 11” as measured with motorcycle off of the ground at 8 lbs of air pressure. Manufacturer, model and size information must be clearly designated.

KILL SWITCH: Required. Must use ignition cut-off switch securely attached to rider. Ignition, fuel pump and solenoids must deactivate. Lanyards must be constructed of leather, metal or nylon. Plastic lanyards prohibited.
OIL CATCH CAN: Required.
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING: Full leather suit required. If suit is two-piece it must attach using a full circumference zipper. The use of Synthetic suits are strictly prohibited. Full leather motorcycle boots required. Driving shoes prohibited. Boots must cover entire ankle. Full leather gloves required.

Extreme Pro Stock
DESIGNATION:
XPS followed by the car number. PS, Pro or Pro Stock not allowed. Numbers must
be at least 4” tall and on both side windows, upper left
of rear window and upper right of windshield.
FIELD: 16 car qualified field.
2,425 lbs. minimum weight including driver. Limited to a maximum of 830 cubic inches on hemi combinations and 840 on wedge combinations.
REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS
BODY
BELLY PAN: Permitted. Must extend beyond leading edge of engine and accessories
and incorporate a 1 inch lip on the front edge of all units.
BODY: Must be 2002 or later model year factory produced 2 door coupes and sedans. Sports cars, sedan deliveries and trucks prohibited. Original OEM body shell or ADRL accepted composite replacement mandatory. Chopping, channeling, sectioning, or other alterations to contour, length or width are prohibited. All composite replacement parts must be ADRL accepted and exact duplicates of OEM components and may not be modified. The front end may be lengthened in the cowl area to facilitate body relocation and wheelbase modifications. The maximum front-end overhang on all entries is 45 inches.
BUMPERS: Stock or composite duplicates required front and rear, may be molded into body. Must be original size and shape.
DOORS: Must be functional from inside and outside. Exact duplicates in fiberglass or carbon fiber permitted. All entries must incorporate a metal deflector between the fenders and the leading edge of the doors.
FIREWALL: Moving stock firewall rearward for engine installation permitted. Replacing stock unit with one of .024” steel or .032” aluminum allowed; Magnesium prohibited.
FLOOR: Replacing stock floors with .024” steel or .032” aluminum allowed. Replaced floors must be stock in appearance and location. Driver’s side floor pan must be steel and must extend from firewall to rear of driver’s seat and must be welded in place. Chassis, frame and driveline must be below floor. Rear floor may not be higher than 8” above door sill. Belly pan mandatory between the center frame rails extending from the rear to the front cross member or to the bell housing. All pans must be designed to facilitate fluid retention. If belly pan is utilized, the drip pan or secondary oil retention blanket is not required.
GRILLE: Must be full stock production for body used and visible from front. May have covering over back of grille to prevent air passage. Any factory accessory package must be accepted by ADRL, i.e., spoilers, air dams, etc.
HOOD & HOOD SCOOP: One opening only. The highest point of the hood scoop may not exceed 15” in overall height above the original hood surface, measured from the leading edge of the scoop. Must be finished and painted to follow body paint scheme. Hood must be stock size with no bubbles. Cowl section may be molded to hood. A minimum of four fasteners must be used on the leading edge of all lift-off hoods. Sensors, lines, or wires, etc. are prohibited from being in hood scoop.
STREET EQUIPMENT: Complete stock seal beam head light lenses or accepted replica and stock tail light lenses in original factory location required. Any other street equipment which does not affect external appearance may be removed. Side marker lights optional. Operational tail light required.
SPOILERS: Rear spoilers must measure between 14” to 17”, measured from the body line at spoiler transition point to the tip and may have no less than 0 degrees from horizontal. May not be molded into deck lid. All spoilers to be painted to match paint scheme. Rear of chute pack cannot be forward of rear tip of spoiler. Roof-mounted spoilers prohibited. Air foils prohibited. Any front spoiler used must have been factory available for body used. Spoiler outside of deck lid opening may not exceed 8” wide. Spill plates may be no more than 6” high and 26” long. Spill plate may not be molded to the quarter panel. A straight edge will be placed on the spoiler, perpendicular to the centerline of the car and level to the ground. Distance between level and lowest part of spoiler can be no more than 2”. A wickerbill must be attached across the entire trailing edge of the spoiler. It must be constructed and attached in a way that will prevent air from passing under or through the unit. It must be 90 degrees from top of horizontal plane and a minimum of 1/4” high and a maximum of 1/2” high.
WHEEL WELLS: Rear, must be separate for each tire.
WINDSHIELD, WINDOWS: Full windows required, .125 polycarbonate materials, such as Lexan MR 4000, allowed. Must match original contour and shape, and mount in stock location. No bubbles in side windows for tire clearance. Windows must be closed, need not be operative. Cutting and/or notching windshield permitted if covered by hood scoop.
CHASSIS
BATTERY: Maximum 2 batteries. Must be securely fastened. Must have external master electrical shutoff marked “push-off”.
BALLAST: 250 lbs. maximum. Shot bags must be contained in weight box. Ballast attached on or in front of the forward cross member is limited to 40 lbs. maximum, including bracket. The bracket may not exceed 12” in length, measured from the cross member, attached with a minimum of (4) 1/2” bolts. The maximum distance from the front of the bracket to the front of the motorplate is 36”. Any car found with unsecured or illegal ballast following a run will be disqualified from the event at discretion of Technical Department.
BRAKES: Four wheel brakes mandatory with dual master cylinder mounted above frame rails on all entries. Steel brake lines mandatory. .
CHASSIS: Must be SFI 25.1E Spec. with current ADRL certification tag prior to competition.
DRIVER: Must be in stock location. Driver’s seat to be no less than 24” from center of rear axle to set back (where shoulder harness passes through).
ENGINE SETBACK: Maximum setback is 80.125 as measured from the center of the rear axle to the back of the engine block. Modifications to the block that would permit additional setback are prohibited.
FUEL SYSTEM: One SFI 28.1 front-mounted fuel cell mandatory, with pressure cap be vented outside of body. Trunk mounted fuel system prohibited. Fuel circulating systems that are not part of the fuel system are prohibited. All fuel cells must be mounted between frame rails and protected by 1-1/4” x .065 chrome-moly tubing.
GROUND CLEARANCE: Minimum 3” from front of car to 12” behind centerline of front axle, 2” for remainder of car.
RADIATOR: Full size automotive radiator in front location with one water pump mandatory. Remote mounted water pump permitted.
STEERING: Stock-type steering in conventional location required. Minimum steering wheel outside diameter is 12”. SFI 42.1 disconnect is mandatory.
SUSPENSION: Full automobile production systems required. Minimum, one hydraulic shock absorber per wheel. Fabricated units permitted. Lightening of stock components prohibited. Rigid mounted suspensions or straight front axles prohibited.
WHEELS/TIRES: Slicks permitted. Must be automotive type designed for racing. All tires must have manufacturer, model and size information clearly designated if used in competition. Clearance from outside of front tire to inside of fender at widest point not to exceed 4”. Rear clearance 3” from outside of tire to inset of fender at widest point. Inner liners accepted. SFI 15.1 bead-lock rear wheels mandatory. Maximum width 16”.
WHEEL BASE: Minimum 100", Maximum 105". Maximum variation is 1” side to side.
WHEELIE BARS: Permitted. Wheels on Wheelie bars must be non-metallic. Maximum length of wheelie bar 80” from center of housing to center of wheelie bar wheel.
DRIVELINE
CLUTCH: SFI Spec. 1.1 or 1.2.Clutch release and bearing engagement / disengagement must be manually operated by driver’s foot. The use of electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics or any other device is prohibited from affecting clutch operation. Lock up units prohibited. All levers in the clutch assembly must be attached to the pressure ring. A 7.5 minimum or 8 inch maximum 3 disc clutch is permitted in a 6.1 bellhousing. Measurement is obtained from clutch disc diameter. If larger diameter is utilized, a 6.3 bellhousing is mandatory.
DRIVELINE: Full 360 degree drive shaft tube required over yoke, extended from transmission tail shaft a minimum length of 9 inches, minimum thickness of tube housing is .050 cm. Two piece accepted with minimum 6 3/8” grade 8 bolts.
FLYWHEEL SHIELD: SFI 6.1 or 6.3 with current certification. See SFI 6.1 or 6.3 for motorplate requirements.
REAR END: Automotive type required. After market axles required with 5/8” stud bolts and axle retention device. Welded spider gears prohibited. Full floating or live axle assembly is optional.
TRANSMISSION: Planetary type transmission mandatory. All entries must utilize a one piece transmission shield (blanket). Automated shifters and electronic timed shifters are prohibited. Multi-functional single button shifters prohibited. If a pneumatic shifter is used, each shift must be activated by its own individual control button. Routing of pneumatic shifter lines must be ADRL approved prior to competition. All pneumatic shifter lines act independently and not a result of or activate other air or electric systems on the entry. Torque convertor equipped automatic transmissions allowed.
ENGINE
CARBURETION: Limited to any two 4-bbl. American automotive carburetors available to the general public with any internal modifications. Carburetors may be split. EFI systems prohibited.
CYLINDER HEADS: Cylinder heads must be configured after OEM or ADRL approved pattern, contain OEM or aftermarket factory casting number & logo, and must be available to the general public. Heads must be aluminum or cast iron. No billet materials, magnesium or other materials allowed. Maximum 2 valves, and one spark plug per cylinder.
ENGINE: Internal combustion, reciprocating, naturally aspirated, single camshaft, 90 degree V-8 automotive-type mandatory. Crankshaft centerline must intersect cylinder bore centerlines and be symmetrical. Limited to 830ci hemi and 840 ci on wedge entries no tolerance. Blocks may be aluminum or cast iron. No magnesium or other materials allowed. One distributor maximum. Maximum 5” bore spacing. Every engine must have an individual Serial No. given by engine builder. The Serial No. must be located in a clearly visible place on the cylinder heads and block. All moving engine components must be accepted prior to utilization. Additionally, the use of beryllium, carbon fiber/kevlar, ceramic, or composites are prohibited from use on these components. The rod and main bearing assemblies must be of conventional sleeve design.
EXHAUST SYSTEM: Open exhaust with headers mandatory.
FUEL: All entries must utilize VP Racing’s Q16 or C23 Fuels. The use of propylene oxide, nitrous oxide, methanol, nitromethane, or any other additive is prohibited.
IGNITION: Aftermarket electronic ignition boxes may not be modified from factory specifications. . If digital ignition system has internal programmable retard functions, all of the external wires that have the ability to activate similar functions must be clearly disconnected and removed from the wiring harness. (Ex. MSD 7530, 7530T and 75301 (pink, tan, violet and white wires). Any electronic traction control device prohibited.
OIL LINES: All oil pressure lines must pass a minimum pressure test and be clearly labeled as passing the testing process.
MISCELLANEOUS

FIRE SYSTEM: SFI 17.1 system required. System must contain a minimum of 5 lbs of Halon or equivalent. One nozzle required inside driver’s compartment must be directed at driver’s feet. Two or more nozzles must be directed at front of engine and fuel cell.
HEAD AND NECK RESTRAINT: SFI 38.1 required. An aluminum skid plate located above driver’s head is recommended.
HELMET: SN-2000 or newer or 31.2A or 41.2A mandatory. Use of open face helmet prohibited. EjectHelmet Removal System (Part # SDR 890-01-30) recommended, required in 2011
MASTER ELECTRICAL CUTOFF: Required. Must be clearly labeled “PUSH OFF”.
PARACHUTES: Dual parachutes required. Separate shroud-line mounting points with 1/2” sleeved grade 8 bolts required.
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING: A driver’s suit meeting SFI Spec. 3.2A/5, gloves meeting SFI 3.3/5 and shoes meeting SFI 3.3/5.
ROLL BAR PADDING: SFI 45.1 required.
UPHOLSTERY: All seats must have minimum 24 inch high seat backs. Seat frame of chromoly tubing must be installed as a permanent part of the chassis. “Wrap around” type seat or fiberglass one-piece bucket accepted. Dash board exterior appearance must be retained: replicas of original allowed. Gauges may be painted in or simulated. Head liner optional; area must be painted if headliner is not used.
WINDOW NET: SFI 27.1 required.
Pro Junior Dragster
DESIGNATION: PJD followed by car number. Numbers must be at least 4” tall and displayed on both sides the vehicle.
FIELD: 16 car qualified field.
PARTICIPANT: For any racer under the age of 18, both the racer and his or her parent or guardian are a “participant” and are bound by all provisions of these posted rules, and in any administrative or disciplinary process, the parent and/or legal guardian shall participate in administrative or disciplinary process and be responsible for any penalty or other matter in connection therewith.
WEIGHT: Minimum weight (without driver) is 225 pounds.
All rules subject to change at the sole discretion of the ADRL Technical Department.
REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS
BODY
AIR FOILS, WINGS: Wings must be bolted to frame structure. Ball lock pins and other quick-release fasteners prohibited. No rear wing may be supported with struts, rods, etc. attached to the roll cage. All rear wing supports must attach to the framerails at least 12 inches behind the roll cage.
BODY: Body and cowl must be constructed of aluminum, fiberglass, or carbon fiber and extend forward to foot-box bulkhead. Driver compartment, frame structure, roll cage, and body must be designed to prevent driver’s body or limbs from making contact with wheels, tires, exhaust system, or track surface. Maximum front end overhang of 15” as measured from centerline of front spindle. All new cars must be approved by the ADRL competition department prior to construction
DEFLECTOR PLATE: Minimum 1/16-inch aluminum Deflector plate must be installed between roll cage and engine extending from lower framerail to the top of driver’s helmet. Portion between shoulder hoop and top of helmet must be minimum 7 inches wide.
FLOOR: Full floor, mounted on top of lower framerail cross braces, extending from driver’s seat forward to 6 inches past pedals is required.
TAIL LIGHT: Functional rear tail light is required.
WIND DEFLECTOR: Wind screen or deflector constructed from lexan, plexiglass or other shatterproof material required. Must be a minimum of 4 inches tall.
CHASSIS
BATTERIES: Dry cell batteries only. Maximum total weight 5 pounds. Must be securely mounted outside driver’s compartment. An external master electrical shut off clearly labeled “ON and OFF” is required.
Brakes: Rear-wheel disc brakes are required.
CHASSIS: Standard dragster configuration with minimum 5-point roll cage mandatory. Roll cage must extend at least 3 inches in front of the driver’s helmet when in driving position. Helmet bars (3/4-inch OD x .058-inch chromoly tubing ) are required between the secondary upper roll cage hoop and the upper roll cage rear braces on each side of the car.
FOOT-BOX BULKHEAD: All cars must be equipped with a bulkhead in front of the driver’s feet, minimum .024-inch steel, .032-inch aluminum, or .060-inch carbon fiber. Bulkhead must be directly in front of or directly behind foot-box diagonal.
GROUND CLEARANCE: Minimum of 3” required from whatever portion of the vehicles body or chassis that breaks staging beam to 12” behind front axle centerline. Minimum of 2” for remainder of vehicle.
SUSPENSION: Suspension with a maximum upward travel 2 inches permitted.
TIRES: Rear tires minimum 18-inch diameter by 7 1/2 inches wide, Manufacturer, model and size information must be clearly designated.
WHEEL BASE: Minimum 90", Maximum 150”. Maximum variation is 2” side to side.
WHEELIE BARS: Permitted, non metallic wheels required.
WHEELS: Front wheels minimum 5 inches in diameter; minimum spindle diameter 1/2-inch. Rear Wheels minimum 8 inches in diameter.
DRIVELINE AND ENGINE
CARBURETORS: Required. Fuel injection prohibited.
CHAIN GUARD: Required, Must cover entire length and width of drive chain.
CLUTCH: Maximum one dry centrifugal-type engine clutch. Chain or belt drive only. Axle clutches prohibited. Clutch cover/guard that provides 180-degree coverage over the top of the entire clutch plate, cover, hat, arms, springs, etc. required. A clutch/crank support is required on any car running 9.99 or quicker
ENGINE: Maximum of one rear-mounted engine. Engine must be based on a five horsepower, single-cylinder four-cycle engine from a recognized OEM or aftermarket supplier. Must retain original five-horsepower engine block configuration. Superchargers and/or turbochargers prohibited.
EXHAUST: No part of the tailpipe may extend more than 27 inches past exhaust attachment point on rear of engine block. Outlet must be directed rearward, away from driver and engine. Mufflers permitted.
FUEL: Gasoline, alcohol, or Gasohol permitted. Nitrous oxide, propylene oxide and nitromethane prohibited. No fuel additives or power enhancers allowed.
FUEL SYSTEM: Fuel tank must be located behind driver, below the shoulder hoop of roll cage. Maximum capacity of fuel tank or cell is 1 gallon.
FLYWHEEL: Aftermarket billet flywheel or aftermarket flywheel shield required. Cast aluminum flywheel prohibited.
STARTER: Pull-rope or remote start required. Any driver activated starting system prohibited.
TRANSMISSION: Gear-type prohibited. Torque converter belt assembly units permitted.
MISCELLANEOUS

MASTER ELECTRICAL CUTOFF: Required. Must be clearly labeled “ON and OFF”.
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING: A driver’s jacket and pants meeting SFI Spec. 3.2A/1 required. Shoes, socks and gloves are mandatory.
ROLL BAR PADDING: Required wherever the roll cage may come in contact with the driver’s helmet.
UPHOLSTERY: Optional
Use Of Safety Equipment: Seat belts must be worn and adjusted in such a manner that the driver’s torso and head cannot extend outside the parameters of the roll cage. Drivers are also required to properly use safety equipment until the vehicle exits the racing surface and the vehicle is no longer moving. Seat belts, arm restraints, helmets, gloves, neck collars, and face shields must be worn until the vehicle has been shut off. Violators will be subject to disciplinary action at the sole and absolute discretion of ADRL.
RACE PROCEDURES
Competition is designed to be conducted dial-in restricted to 7.900 seconds or slower based on an E.T. dial-your-own basis; breakout rules apply. In all qualified events, no competitor can qualify quicker than 7.900. During handicap E.T. bracket-style racing, each competitor must post his or her desired dial-in on his or her car in a manner clearly visible to the tower and available to his or her opponent. Reader boards must be attached to the car. Dial-in cannot be changed after the track-designated “ready line.”
PER INSURANCE REGULATIONS: Any competitor running quicker than 7.70 e.t. in the eighth-mile or faster than 85.00 mph at any time during an event will be disqualified from the event.
BREAKOUT RULES
Breakout rules are enforced as follows: Contestants who race below their dial-in or posted index during eliminations are disqualified, with the following exceptions:
1. When an opponent foul starts or crosses a boundary line.
2. On a single run.
3. When both drivers run under their dial-in, the driver who is the least under is the winner. Even if they run under the applicable 7.90 elapsed time barrier. A second infraction may subject the participant to disqualification from the event at the sole and absolute discretion of ADRL.
4. If two contestants run under by the same margin (with elapsed times extended to a thousandth of a second), the driver crossing the finish line first is the winner.
