News Flash - Summertime is Hot!
Your Agent was alerted to some people apparently feeling like the sky is falling because the ADRL moved its planned national event at Gateway International Raceway, near St. Louis, from the original June 19-20 weekend to August 7-8.
Complaints center on the perception that it will be unbearably hot in August at Gateway, much more so than in June, but unlike the doomsayers, your Agent actually did a little research and discovered something very interesting -- there is very little difference in actual weather conditions between June and August in St. Louis -- it's summer and it's hot!
Here are a few facts to chew on, taken directly from Weather.com, showing (l-r) date, sunrise, sunset, avg. high, avg. low, mean temp., record high and record low recorded at nearby Lambert-St. Louis International Airport for the dates in question.
June
| 19 | 5:37 AM | 8:29 PM | 86°F | 67°F | 77°F | 105°F (1936) | 52°F (1935) |
| 20 | 5:37 AM | 8:29 PM | 87°F | 67°F | 77°F | 103°F (1953) |
52°F (1980) |
August
| 7 | 6:08 AM | 8:05 PM | 89°F | 70°F | 80°F | 103°F (1930) | 55°F (1978) |
| 8 | 6:09 AM | 8:04 PM | 89°F | 70°F | 80°F | 108°F (1934) | 53°F (1976) |
Your Agent is no meteorologist, but he suspects a two- or three-degree difference isn't going to make much of a difference to anyone, one way or the other. Now, if we get into challenging those record highs, all bets are off and it'll be every man, woman and child for themselves!
Until that happens, though, your Agent remains unwilling to join the Chicken Little Brigade.
He will, however, make sure to have a cold adult beverage within arm's reach at all times -- but that's a given.

Gateway Worth Waiting For
It's gonna' be worth the wait.
That's the message your Agent received from ADRL Executive VP of Operations Jessica Alcoke in explaining the shift from June 19-20 to Aug. 7-8, for the Gateway Drags II at Gateway International Raceway in Madison, IL.
The ADRL Marketing Dept. has seemingly been working round-the-clock lately, and your Agent was informed an announcement from Executive VP of Sales and Marketing Jeff Fortune's office will soon reveal a major event sponsor for the Gateway Drags, but that sponsor requested the delayed date in order to implement an extensive promotional blitz about the race.
Your Agent can't wait--but he hears it'll be worth it!

Gender Barrier to Break in PXM?
That's what your Agent hears.
Details are sketchy right now, but your Agent was told an official announcement regarding a female rider in Pro Extreme Motorcycle could come as soon as the season opener Mar. 6-7, during Dragpalooza V at Houston Raceway Park.
You'll know more as soon as your Agent knows more.

New PN Entry for Valdosta
Your Agent found this image of Brian Shaw's '41 Willys in the proverbial plain, brown envelope slipped into his mailbox sometime in the dead of night.
Apparently, Shaw and his OTG Racing team put the Willys on a major diet over the winter and the Chesterfield, VA-based owner now feels ready to enter the Pro Nitrous ranks with Randall Haynes as his wheelman.
The Pat Bennett-built car is a Fulton-powered piece with Speedtech Nitrous flowing through its intake. Shaw's attached note said that after some testing he hopes to make it out to the recently confirmed ADRL event Apr. 10-11, at Valdosta, GA.

Halsey Latest to Confirm Houston
Here's the latest big gun to say he's headed to Houston for the Mar. 6-7 ADRL event.
Pro Nitrous star Jim Halsey will be part of the mix at Dragpalooza V with a brand-new, Tim McAmis-built '68 Camaro, and of course with Fulton power under the hood.
A highly placed operative in the field told your Agent a press release with confirmation from the two-time ADRL national-event winner will be coming soon.

Horsepower and Heels Entering XTF Mustang
Your Agent is more than thrilled to hear Erica Ortiz and her Horsepower and Heels Racing Team is getting set to enter the Extreme 10.5 fray with an all-new 2007 Mustang.
Ortiz already has one ADRL event on her racing resume, having competed in Pro Nitrous at Valdosta, GA, in 2006, but the Grant, AL-based racer is ready to tackle the XTF challenge.
Inaugural Pro Nitrous World Champion Dan Parker (2005) recently upgraded the chassis, which previously carried T-Bird bodywork, and David Johnston of Johnston Body Works and Bikes in Phenix City, AL, is about to spray the paint job. The car carries an Al Moody-built motor with twin turbos backed up by a Bruno transmission.
Ortiz told your Agent she hopes to have the car ready for testing by late March and will enter an Extreme 10.5 race with it as soon as possible.

Al Anabi Awesome Motorsports Heading to Houston

Your Agent has it on very good authority that a press release will be forthcoming shortly, announcing the five-car Al Anabi Awesome Motorsports Pro Nitrous team will be racing Mar. 6-7, in Dragpalooza V at Houston Raceway Park.
The team's drivers include: Mike Castellana (top left), winner of the most recent ADRL national event last fall at Dallas, TX; Shannon Jenkins (top right), the winningest driver in the class; and past event winners Rickie Smith (lower left) and Burton Auxier (lower right), along with 2009 Rookie of the Year contender Khalid Al Balooshi (left).
Between them, these drivers have racked up nine Pro Nitrous victories in 13 final-round appearances and all will be looking to add to that total in just a few weeks at Houston.
Of course, these are all shots of the Al Anabi Awesome Motorsports rides from last season. Your Agent understands most, if not all, will be sporting new cars or new looks for 2009 and he's been promised early peeks at the results, so stay tuned for more!

Love to be Found in Houston
Your Agent heard through the increasingly active Extreme Pro Stock grapevine that Enoch Love Racing, with driver Bert Jackson, has committed to entering Dragpalooza V Mar. 6-7, at Houston Raceway Park. A formal announcement is expected soon.
Those who have been paying attention will recall that Jackson was the XPS polesitter at Hushpower Dragstock V last September at Rockingham Dragway, so add another hitter to the list for the ADRL season opener.

First Look: Henson’s New ‘Widowmaker’ Wrap

A plain, manilla envelope fell out of your Agent's newspaper this morning containing these spy photos of the new look for Roger Henson's "Widowmaker" '63 Corvette, driven by 2006 Pro Extreme champion Bubba Stanton.
Your Agent's operative must've been rushed because there was no accompanying info, but the pics appears to show the vinyl wrap recently applied by Tony Baudier and the gang at Baudier Graphix down in New Orleans.
Your Agent just wonders why they're keeping the car in what appears to be Baudier's rec room, though. Must make it difficult to play foosball when your elbow's constantly bumping the rear wing.

Moyer Trailer Stolen from Haas Lot
Chad Rogers, crew chief for Todd Moyer's Extreme 10.5 team, called your Agent today with some very disturbing news. The 28-foot 2007 Haulmark Edge trailer (similar to depicted) he'd brought from Texas to haul Moyer's 2000 Firebird back home after undergoing a full interior refit in Missouri was stolen from the lot in front of Jerry Haas Race Cars. It's the first time in 22 years a trailer has been stolen from the Fenton, MO-based chassis shop.
Nearby surveillance cameras captured images of a dark, late-model truck with a row of overhead lights abover the cab making off with the trailer about 10:30 p.m. despite it being secured with a high-security trailer tongue lock.
Moyer's car was safe and secure in the Haas shop, but the trailer, which carries no decals or markings other than Haulmark logos, contains built-in cabinets, a winch and toolboxes with tools. It has a Texas licence plate (89Z SDM) and its VIN is 16HGB28267GO91892.
Anyone who sees this trailer or has information about who took it is urged to call Rogers at (808) 271-1215.
Very disappointing, indeed.

‘Zooflers’ New (Down)Force in XTF Racing
.jpg)
What do you get when you cross zoomie headers with Flowmaster mufflers? Why, "Zooflers," of course!
Your Agent was thoroughly impressed by the ingenuity of chassis man (and Pro Extreme pilot) Joey Martin, who welded up these unique pieces for fellow Floridian Tom Ashley's wild, wheelstanding '67 Chevy II that competes in the Extreme 10.5 class in the capable hands of driver Michael Neal.
Martin told your Agent that Ashley wanted to try zoomies on the car in order to take advantage of the downforce they create and hopefully minimize the tendency of the car to carry the front wheels so high in the last half of the track. Crowd pleasing? Yes! Efficient? No.
ADRL VP of Competition Bert "Bubba" Corzine initially told Martin and Ashley they could run whatever type of exhaust they wanted--so long as it included mufflers, as ADRL rules require for the class--so Martin came up with the "zoofler" idea to satisfy the rules and have Ashley and Neal remain in contention for Flowmaster's recently implemented bonuses for any XTF team that can run a three-second or 185-plus mph lap through Flowmaster products. Martin said absolutely no alterations were made to the interior of the Flowmasters; only the inlet and outlet points were changed.
And rest easy, rules sticklers. Corzine has already given his blessing to run the unconventional configuration, personally phoning Martin this morning with his approval after seeing these photos (among others) via e-mail.
Who says innovation is no longer a part of modern drag racing? Certainly not your Agent--or Joey Martin.

2009 TBD Dates Closer to Confirmation
Your Agent watched with interest at ADRL worldwide headquarters yesterday as envelopes were sealed and couriers arrived to pick up contracts destined for tracks expected to host the three remaining TBD (to be determined) sites for this year's National Guard ADRL tour.
Unfortunately, your Agent cannot yet confirm any locations, though he's pretty sure he heard the "Georgia Drags" has become somewhat of a misnomer. It's all good, though; your Agent remains excited about the alternative since he's a long-time fan of the blues.
Watch for an official announcement coming soon about where the ADRL will be racing Apr. 10-11, May 22-23 and June 19-20.
UPDATE (1/24/08): Memphis and St. Louis confirmed! Visit ADRL News for details.

Event Sponsor for Dragpalooza V?
Your Agent couldn't help but notice a flurry of activity from the marketing types as they shuttled between closed-door meetings at ADRL worldwide headquarters today.
A carefully placed drinking glass pressed tight against the shared wall between the marketing office and your Agent's lair served as an ideal amplifier for your Agent's aging ears and he distinctly heard talk of a new, big-name sponsor coming on board as the title rights holder for Dragpalooza V on Mar. 6-7, at Houston Raceway Park in Ennis, TX.
Watch for an official announcement to come very soon.

PX Power Coming from Canada?
It's no secret that your Agent's adult beverage of choice is a cold Canadian brew, but you can imagine his surprise upon opening his latest 12-pack of Moosehead and finding a message from an unidentified Great White North operative scribbled with charcoal on a piece of birch bark.
Now, it's not easy to write with charcoal on birch bark, so the missive was short and cryptic, but apparently there are at least a couple of supercharged Canucks interested in joining the ADRL Pro Extreme ranks, perhaps as soon as March 6-7, at the Houston Raceway Park season opener.
If this does indeed come to pass, all your Agent asks is that his neighbors from the north bring him some Shreddies and Eat-Mores from their homeland. The Moosehead he can buy locally.

R&R Joins ADRL Contingency Program
Your Agent welcomes R&R Racing Products, based in Grant Park, IL, into the ADRL's ever-increasing ranks of contingency sponsors and midway vendors.
R&R is a family-owned and operated business that proudly states all products are "100% Made in the USA!" so they're a natural fit for the National Guard American Drag Racing League.
For more information on the contingency program visit the ADRL.us News section and be sure to check out R&R Racing Products online at www.rrconnectingrods.com.

D’Aprile on D’a Way
Your Agent just happened to hear ADRL prez Kenny Nowling on the phone this afternoon with Pro Extreme team owner Mel Bush and it soon became clear the Pro Extreme class is about to get Bush-whacked!
Nowling later confirmed to your Agent that Bush, with driver Tommy D'Aprile (left), will enter Dragpalooza V at Houston Raceway Park Mar. 6-7, and plans to run the entire 2009 National Guard ADRL tour.
The Elma, NY-based team will open its ADRL campaign with D'Aprile behind the wheel of their fan-favorite '62 Chevy Bel Air, but as soon as possible will transition to a brand-new, Dan Page-built 1970 Camaro.
The list just keeps getting longer.

‘Undertaker’ Digs ADRL PX Racing
Baltimore's Tommy Gray immediately made his presence known last summer when he debuted a brand-new Vanishing Point-built '68 Camaro at the ADRL national event at Budds Creek, MD, and promptly took it all the way to the Pro Extreme winner's circle.
Your Agent is pleased to confirm that "Tombstone Tommy" will be back this year and is actively seeking marketing partners for his full-season run toward qualifying for the championship-deciding Battle for the Belts at Ennis, TX, in October.

BTG: PX Champ Jason Scruggs
Your Agent just finished reading about the 2008 season of Pro Extreme World Champion Jason Scruggs. It's the last of four features about the reigning ADRL champs in the Web site's Beyond the Guardwall section.
Make sure to check out the other season reviews about the Battle for the Belts-winning "Billys," including back-to-back Pro Extreme Motorcycle champion Billy Vose, Extreme 10.5 victor Billy Glidden and Pro Nitrous champ Billy Harper.
As the 2009 National Guard ADRL tour gets ever closer to commencing, it's interesting to see what it took to earn the number "1" designation for this season.

Snow Predicted for Houston in March
One of the most storied names in drag racing is coming to the ADRL.
Your Agent learned late last night that driving and tuning legend Gene Snow has been approved by ADRL VP of Competition Bert "Bubba" Corzine to field a nitro-burning Pro Extreme entry this year.
No, the '65 Dart (above) is not coming out of retirement (though your Agent would LOVE to see that!); instead, it'll be a late-model Cadillac CTS that's currently at the Joe Monden shop in Gainesville, TX, getting final preparations to take on the Pro Extreme crowd.
No driver has so far been named , but your Agent will try to find out that lucky individual's name ASAP.

Extreme Pro Stock Picking Up Steam
Though still awaiting official confirmation of Extreme Pro Stock as a full-season class in '09, your Agent received word from a highly placed source that former world champions Robert Patrick and Brian Gahm (above) have committed to running for the 2009 XPS championship.
Your Agent also was told to watch for more big XPS names to follow, along with an announcement on class rules and payouts.
The 2009 season just got that much more interesting.

Janis Joining ADRL PX Ranks
Your Agent just received notice that an official announcement will soon be issued by two-time world champion Mike Janis stating he will be contesting the entire 2009 National Guard ADRL Pro Extreme tour with his Dan Page Race Cars-built, Cynergy-bodied '67 Firebird.
"We feel very excited and honored to become a part of history in the making and are looking forward to running the full season for the the ADRL championship," the Elma, NY-based owner of Jan-Cen Automotive Parts said. "I know we have a lot of work and catching up to do after missing the first 2009 points race (last October at Dallas), but we're looking forward to the challenge and going after the National Guard ADRL title this year.
Additionally, your Agent learned Jan-Cen will be an ADRL contingency sponsor this year.
Second in all-time wins for his class, Janis is a multi-time world record holder for both E.T. and speed. Your Agent suspects his arrival in Pro Extreme may keep the ADRL's records keepers busy in '09, too.

‘Hitman’ Aims for Pro Nitrous
If Mike "The Hitman" Hill gets his way, his ADRL 10-wide brethren may be breathing a little easier this year.
Hill, one of the toughest competitors in the Flowmaster Extreme 10.5 ranks as wheelman of the VIP Racing '63 Corvette, told your Agent he's hoping to make the jump to Pro Nitrous com
petition in '09. The whole deal hinges on first selling his own Outlaw 10.5 2006 Mustang that he's enjoyed great success with over the last few years.
"I've always loved driving the big-tire cars," said Hill, who previously owned and raced a Pro Nitrous Vette in local events near his Georgia home. "I'm even willing to trade my car for a good Pro Nitrous car, so I hope we can get something done soon."

Gorman Gets Snakebit
Here's a sneak peek at the ex-Billy Harper Dodge Viper that 2007 Extreme 10.5 champion Steve Gorman will introduce to the XTF class this year.
Your Agent just got off the phone with Gorman, who said he traded an H1 Humvee for the racecar, campaigned by Harper in the '07 season. Gorman completely gutted the roller, then had Scott and Eric Clark of Clark Brothers in in Arlington, TX, repaint the chassis as well as spray a new coat of Snakeskin Green, an official 2009 Viper color, on the body.
Gorman's championship-winning 2001 Grand Am is now for sale as a rolling chassis, as its 748 c.i. Buck motor with four stages of NOS nitrous is about to be transplanted into the Viper. Gorman said he'll be working 'round-the-clock to rewire and plumb the car in time to get a little testing in before the ADRL's 2009 season opener Mar. 6-7, at Houston Raceway Park.

Proud PX Papa
Your Agent was thrilled to receive these exclusive photos of reigning two-time Pro Extreme champ Jason Scruggs with his new daughter, Hannah Claire, born Dec. 30, at North Mississippi Medical Center Women's Hospital.
To the right are big sisters Carli, 4, and Catherine, 3, who obviously are enjoying the latest addition to the Scruggs household.
Hmmmmm, your Agent seems to recall another drag racing champion in a different series with three daughters. Might we see a "Driving Scruggs" reality TV show in 20 years or so?
Your Agent better hold on to these pics for posterity's sake.

Dragstock V DVD On the Way
Your Agent just received a sneak peek at the cover art for Urban Hillbilly's soon-to-be-released DVD of last year's exciting Hushpower Dragstock V at Rockingham Dragway.
Your Agent can't wait to digitally relive cover boy Ray Matos' stunning upset win in Pro Nitrous, the dominating performance of 2006 Pro Extreme world champ Bubba Stanton, Billy Glidden's ongoing mastery in Flowmaster Extreme 10.5 and Ron Procopio's thrilling final-round triumph in Pro Extreme Motorcycle.
This one's gonna' be good!

‘Boom Boom’ Bags Big One
What do ADRL drivers do to get their adrenaline pumping between seasons?
If he's Alex "Boom Boom" Viscardi (right), he tests his skills as a hunter and marksman. In December, Viscardi headed up to the 500-acre Jayhawk Plantation in north Louisiana with Johnny Casares III, senior project coordinator for Viscardi Industrial Services, where they each bagged an impressive Oryx big-game trophy.
Viscardi will be back behind the wheel soon, though, testing a brand-new, Jerry Haas-built, twin-turbocharged '67 Mustang GT-500KR that's destined for Flowmaster Extreme 10.5 action this season.

Girl Power Coming to Pro Extreme
Your Agent hinted at this just before Christmas and can now confirm that Cathy Belcher, 50, plans to break the gender barrier in Pro Extreme this season with her husband, "Doc," turning the wrenches on their G-Force Race Cars-built 1990 IROC Camaro. It will carry a 481X AJ 426 with a screw blower and Lenco drive for ADRL competition.
The Illinois-based couple hopes to make their ADRL debut June 5-6, at the Pizza Hut Summer Drags V in Martin, MI.

Helton Heading Into ‘09 Aboard New Bike

Your Agent sees that Walt Timblin has been busy down at his south-Georgia shop putting the finishing touches on a new chassis for Pro Extreme Motorcycle rider James Helton that eventually will sport carbon-fiber Hyabusa bodywork by Beasley Composites.
Timblin said Helton is just one of several PXM racers who will be riding brand-new Timblin Chassis-built machines this year.

Team Titan Goes 4.09 in Testing
Late last year, your Agent was thoroughly impressed when Flowmaster Extreme 10.5 racer Todd Moyer made a 4.09 pass in testing and he remains equally awed by class E.T. record holder Gary White matching the time with his Titan Motorsports '07 Scion in testing this afternoon at South Georgia Motorsports Park.
After going .991 to the 60-foot marker, White crossed half-track in 2.69 seconds and stopped the clock in 4.098 at exactly 175 miles per hour. White holds the XTF record with a 4.101-seconds pass in a final-round runner-up effort at the ADRL World Finals in Ennis, TX, last October, while Moyer raised the speed standard to 180.45 mph at the same event.

HRP Making Concrete Changes for ‘09
Racers know the off season is really just a chance to get everything back in shape for the next assault on their equipment and it's no different at Houston Raceway Park, where Penhall Co. (penhall.com) is busy renovating the racing surface before the National Guard ADRL arrives Mar. 6-7 to open its 2009 tour with Dragpalooza V.
Penhall is grinding off a half-inch of HRP's all-concrete eighth-mile, effectively eliminating any and all imperfections, dips and bumps from the track "to ensure the smoothest racing surface on the tour," HRP owner Seth Angel says. He also says the Baytown, TX, facility has converted to VP Racing Fuels LC6 traction compound, which he expects will combine with the track's sea-level elevation to produce record-setting E.T.s and speeds.
Additionally, Angel says he is expanding HRP's spectator parking lot to accommodate the mass of cars and spectators the ADRL national event brings, along with installing new permanent lighting infrastructure in the spectator parking lot to increase visibility and safety.
Finally, all VIP luxury suites and the HRP media center have been completely remodeled and outfitted with 42-inch plasma TVs.
Your Agent is looking forward to grabbing a front-row seat for what promises to be an outstanding ADRL season opener.

‘Widowmaker’ Revived and Refreshed
Yet another top-notch rendering by Justin Spencer at Competition Designs was slipped under your Agent's door late last night, this time depicting Roger Henson's "Widowmaker" '63 Corvette that's piloted by 2006 Pro Extreme champion Bubba Stanton. Tony Baudier of Baudier Graphics in Jefferson, LA, will soon be applying a custom vinyl wrap reflecting the new look.
The car is fresh out of Garret Race Cars, where Garret Livingston hung a new Hairy Glass Body on the 15-year-old(!) John Torelli-built chassis. Livingston also replaced the vintage rear floater housing that finally gave out at the ADRL's season ender last October.
"This girl has been really good to us, but she needed a makeover and I thought it was well earned," Henson said. He also mentioned that crew chief Donnie Sykes and consultant Lonnie Houde have collaborated on ideas and added a few new parts "that should pick the power up a little bit."
Considering Stanton joining the 200-mph club at Dallas in October and his dominating win at Dragstock V a month earlier at Rockingham, your Agent expects the Widowmaker to leave a few more teams in tears this season.

Are Leash Laws Enforced in Kentucky?
That's what your Agent wants to know after learning Jim "The Dog" Raynor is about to fitted for a matrimonial collar this Friday in Paducah, KY.
Seems the popular Pro Nitrous crewman and outlaw racing Web guru is tying the knot with bride-to-be Betty Boyd in a simple courthouse ceremony before heading off for a brief honeymoon vacation in Nashville.
Your Agent sends hearty congrats on behalf of the entire ADRL community, but has to wonder if this means the Harper/Radford pits will be fitted with invisible fencing at national events this year. Can't let "The Dog" wander, you know.

XPS On the Way?
Not yet officially confirmed, but your Agent suggests anyone who's into the Extreme Pro Stock class should start looking into flights to Houston for the Mar. 6-7, ADRL Dragpalooza V at Houston Raceway Park.
Oklahoma's Cary Goforth (right) won round two of the special, two-race XPS experiment last September at Rockingham Dragway, with Robert Patrick picking up the race win when the class debuted to tremendous racer and fan approval a couple of months earlier at Budds Creek, MD.
Your Agent expects an official ADRL announcement regarding the '09 XPS season within the next few days.

Riesterer Turns to Reher-Morrison
Two seasons ago, Doug Riesterer was consistently considered a serious contender to win at every Pro Nitrous event he entered, but 2008 was not so kind to the man from Victoria, TX. He made it out to only five ADRL national events, DNQing at two of them and not making it past round two in the others.
Your Agent has a feeling Riesterer is on the verge of a comeback year, though, after learning he recently ordered an 820-c.i. Reher-Morrison powerplant to replace the tired 706 in his '68 Camaro.
Your Agent spoke with Riesterer, who said he also plans to add a few bars to his car's chassis, "just to stiffen things up and see if we can make this thing fly."
Riesterer also said he hopes to make it out to more ADRL races in '09, depending on how well he's doing on the track and in the points standings.
Your Agent says, don't be surprised to see this one in the Pro Nitrous Battle for the Belts come October.

Get Out the Vote!
Your Agent was pumped to see ADRL head honcho Kenny Nowling get through his first-round match over at CompetitionPlus.com's War Stories Eliminations, but the prez is taking on none other than "Big Daddy" hisself in the quarter-finals.
This time around, Nowling goes to the line with a tale involving ADRL staffer Dave "Bones" Koch (left) and a runaway motorhome, while Garlits counters with a Connie Kalitta story.
Make sure to head over to CompPlus to make your vote count!
Your Agent has already weighed in.

Thieves Strike Pro Line
Your Agent spoke yesterday with turbo guru Steve Petty (left) of Pro Line Race Engines in Woodstock, GA, who confirmed the Pro Line shop was broken into the night before and thieves escaped with three complete engines and several major racing components. Unfortunately, it appears whoever commited this crime knew exactly what they were going after, which is particularly disheartening to your Agent.
Pro Line, co-owned by Eric Dillard and Doug Patton, is in the process of gearing up for the 2009 ADRL tour as engine provider to Pro Extreme racer Grant McCrary and Petty said they also are working on their own turbocharged PX entry to debut later this year in the hands of Tim Lynch. Hopefully, this won't prove to be too much of a setback to their efforts.
