ADRL at PRI
Your Agent wants to remind everyone visiting the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) trade show in Orlando this weekend to make sure to stop by the ADRL/Flowmaster booth (#2531).
ADRL President Kenny Nowling (right) will lead a press conference at the booth on Friday at 2 p.m. and Pro Extreme Motorcycle racers Charlie and Matt Prophit will have their bikes on display throughout the show.
Then, of course, on Saturday night beginning at 7 p.m., the ADRL will be hosting its 2008 Flowmaster Racer Appreciation and Awards Gala in the Regency Ballroom at the nearby Embassy Suites Hotel.
Who knows, you may even run into your Agent there, too!

Viscardi Boyz Victorious in Vegas
Wow! Your Agent sends major props to Alex and Keith Viscardi and the rest of the Viscardi Boyz Extreme 10.5 team for having their twin-turbocharged '66 Mustang named a Best of SEMA 2008 Winner by CarDomain.com
As Rob Einadi, editor in chief at CarDomain said, "It seems crazy to try to pick 10 winners out of over 2,000 vehicles at SEMA," but the Viscardi ADRL entry on display in the Turbonetics booth won in the predictably competitive Racing and Motorsports category at the recently completed Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association trade show in Las Vegas.
Your Agent is confident he can speak for the entire ADRL community in saying congratulations to the Viscardi Boyz!

Picketts Pilfer McAmis Rig?
Your Agent was shocked to learn the Tim McAmis Mobile Performance Parts Center eighteen-wheeler was spotted heading west on I-70 early this morning with the infamous Pickett Brothers, Rod and Kevin of Pickett Custom Trucks, at the controls. Who knows what's now in store for the Tim McAmis Race Cars 379 Peterbilt and trailer?
The massive 90-foot rig is one of the most popular sites on the ADRL Manufacturer’s Midway, offering both racers and fans a unique glimpse of the manufacturing capabilities of TMRC, along with an interactive rolling chassis, ART Electronics heads-up display and on-site repair services. The trackside service center also features displays and representation from a host of the sport’s leading performance parts manufacturers and suppliers, including Aeromotive Fuel Systems, Stroud Safety, Strange Engineering, NW Radios, B&J Transmissions, PSI Superchargers, RacePak, MSD Ignition and Advanced Product Design Carburetors.
Fortunately, the Picketts' planned transformation of the TMRC Mobile Performance Parts Center eighteen-wheeler will be chronicled at the TMRC site, so anxious Web watchers are invited to check in daily for updates on the continually developing on-site service center.
You know your Agent will stay on top of this one.

Vial Going Racing in Style Next Season
Your Agent found this rendering of Ellis Vial's new Pro Extreme entry--currently under construction at Fast Layne Race Cars in Myrtle Beach, SC--neatly folded within his breakfast bill at the neighborhood Waffle House this morning. Who placed it there? Who knows?
Details are still coming in, but the '68 Firebird is expected to be ready for testing early in 2009 with a PSI screw-blown Randy Anderson 526 Hemi underhood. Your Agent also hears that George Coleman of CAM's Automotive Machine is a big part of the preparations and Lonnie Houde will act as team consultant once this Bird is ready to fly.
Always good to see new cars on the way.

‘Turbo Todd’ Goes 4.09/188 on 10.5Ws!
Your Agent was quite thoroughly impressed after coming across this video of ADRL Extreme 10.5 star Todd Moyer going 4.09 at 188.76 mph in a straight-as-a-string solo test pass Saturday night at Houston Motorsports Park.
Those numbers are even better than both ends of the official ADRL class records, currently held by Gary White at 4.101 and Moyer himself at 180.45 mph, both set in October during the ADRL World Finals at Ennis, TX.
Listen to the track announcer, though. Your Agent doesn't think she recognized what an awesome pass this really was.
Major kudos from your Agent to the entire Moyer team!

Just in Time for Christmas
You know your Agent likes to run with a wild bunch and it doesn't get any wilder than this.
This ain't no Stanley Steamer; it's apparently a new '68 Camaro Pro Extreme entry.
The photos fell out of a campy Christmas card that your Agent opened last night while enjoying a sweet margarita in front of a roaring fire.
Question: Where do lambs live? Answer: Mary Land.
And with Santa's arrival not so far away, your Agent was sure he also heard an orange "Ho, Ho, Ho" in the distance.
If any of this makes any sense at all to you, please pass your Agent the salt shaker of life.
Thank you, thank you very much. Try the veal and don't forget to tip your server.

Myers Spreading Xmas Spirit in Texas
Your Agent just wants to remind everyone that Pro Nitrous star Thomas "Tom Slick" Myers and his wife, Rebecca, will be hosting their 15th annual Racing for Kids Toy Drive and Car Show tomorrow (Dec. 6), in the Performance Zone parking lot behind the Whataburger in Granbury, TX. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with hamburgers, hot dogs and cold drinks provided to all car show participants and everyone is encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to benefit area boys and girls.
There's still time to call Tom and Rebecca at Myers Automotive (817-279-9949) to show off that ADRL race car or maybe the classic restoration you've got sitting in the corner of the shop. Or if you just want to share in the spirit of giving this Christmas season, your Agent encourages everyone to go visit them in Granbury tomorrow.

Carpenter Cops DI Cover
"He Started It. Now He Wants to Finish It."
That's the tag line for the cover story about Pro Nitrous legend Charles Carpenter in the new Drag Illustrated issue.
The December 2008 edition, slated for distribution at the Dec. 11-13, Performance Racing Industry (PRI) trade show in Orlando, also includes extensive coverage of the ADRL's championship-deciding Battle for the Belts and 4th annual LenMar Motorsports ADRL World Finals from October in Ennis, TX.
In addition to the ADRL's own Adrenaline magazine, that also will be distributed at PRI, your Agent already knows what he'll be reading in Orlando.
