Aeromotive Fuel Systems Thrilled With Development, Diversity In Pro Modified Class

The Aeromotive Fuel Systems Pro Modified class has featured a variety of winners, thrilling side-by-side races and plenty of excitement in its first full season as an official class in the American Drag Racing League (ADRL) in 2012.

The class and the enjoyment it has provided for fans has also exceeded expectations for ADRL sponsor Aeromotive Fuel Systems, which became the official class sponsor in 2012 as well.

A previous ADRL sponsor, Aeromotive has worked even closer with the world’s premier eighth-mile drag racing league by sponsoring an ADRL class for the first time.

“We’re pretty partial to the Pro Modified class and it’s been an exciting year for them in 2012,” Aeromotive’s Jesse Powell said. “There’s a lot of variety in the class and it’s also very relatable to the fans.

“These are door cars that look like real cars and that’s important. There’s so many different combinations and so many different ways to run your car in this class; that variety is just cool.”

Pro Modified boasts a rich doorslammer racing history, and it mixes supercharged, nitrous and turbo cars into one incredibly competitive division. It has provided plenty of action in 2012, as supercharged, nitrous and turbo cars have all advanced to final rounds in 2012.

There have been four different winners in the class (Mike Castellana, Jeff Naiser, Fredy Scriba and Mike Janis) and the Aeromotive Fuel Systems Pro Modified class has featured many of the top names in the sport, including Castellana, Naiser, Janis, Rickie Smith, Pat Musi, Todd Tutterow, Mike Knowles, Donnie Walsh and many more.

The class first debuted with a series of exhibition races in 2011 before the Aeromotive Fuel Systems Pro Modified class was named an official class on the 2012 ADRL Tour.

“These cars provide such a good show. It’s loud and wild and they are very interesting,” Powell said. “As far as working with the ADRL, it’s been a good relationship for us. The racing has been really good and the racers are happy, and that’s why we want to be involved.”

An industry leader in fuel systems and fuel system components, Aeromotive offers more diversity in fueling options than any company in drag racing.

They provide everything from fuel pumps to regulators, filters and complete system solutions for every ADRL class. Aeromotive has also developed a new large-volume, belt-driven pump that will be released soon and will be ideally suited for Pro Modified cars.

“It’s going to be an affordable, high-quality piece that will be applicable to the entire class. We want to continue to improve our products and continue to offer quality, affordability and durability,” Powell said. “It’s exciting to have products for everything the ADRL has to offer.
