Powersource Transportation Enjoying Increased Exposure With ADRL, Mick Snyder Sponsorship In 2012

With its sponsored driver, Mick Snyder, putting together an incredible run in the American Drag Racing League’s (ADRL) Pro Extreme class, ADRL sponsor Powersource Transportation is benefitting from the increased publicity it has garnered.

Snyder has won three straight races in the ADRL’s quickest and fastest class, becoming the points leader in the process, and Powersource Transportation, an industry leader in trailer delivery service, has thoroughly enjoyed Snyder’s amazing string of success.

“Our exposure is much better because of how well Mick and the car are doing, and we are so happy to see them having this kind of success,” Powersource Transportation Owner and President Skip Bakos said.

“They are very genuine people and it’s a privilege to be a part of the team. Seeing the heart they put into it is amazing and it’s nice to be part of that.”

Sporting the Powersource Transportation Mobile Recruiting Center (MRC) motor home that is at each ADRL event, the top-notch trailer transportation team actively recruits potential drivers at every race, reaching an important client base in the process.

The sixth stop on the 10-race 2012 ADRL Tour takes place Friday and Saturday at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, Mich., and it represents the home race for not only Snyder but also for the Griffith, Ind.-based company.

“Our MRC motorhome that goes to the ADRL events has gone a long way in creating interest,” Bakos said. “When they see a table and some banners, it’s one thing, but when they see the investment we’ve made, people are going to be more interested.”

Powersource Transportation’s sponsorship with the ADRL is an opportunity for them to recruit over-the-road truck drivers and the ADRL’s demographics have fit ideally with the age range and experience level that Powersource Transportation seeks.

The fans on 2012 ADRL Tour have presented an even bigger demographic from which to choose as well.

“The venues that the ADRL visits and the races they put on help us attract a great group of customers and owner/operators. We’re looking for people who own and drive their own trucks, and working with the ADRL has helped us bring in a little better clientele as far as what we’re looking for,” Bakos said.

“The contacts we are making are with quality people and we are able to get some ideas in front of them.”

Now in its third season as an ADRL sponsor, Bakos also talked glowingly about the relationship his company has developed with the world’s premier eighth-mile drag racing league.

“The ADRL treats us like gold and that is very much appreciated. From a sponsor standpoint, this has been a lot of fun for us,” Bakos said. “As more and more people see how fun the ADRL is and what it provides, I believe it’s only going to snowball.”
