Well, well, well. This is about to get mighty interesting.
As many in the drag racing world have heard, Pro Extreme standout Todd Tutterow will be driving a turbo-charged Duster at the upcoming U.S. Drags V, which takes place June 22-23 at Virginia Motorsports Park.
Tutterow crashed his PX Mustang earlier this month in St. Louis and while the team at Jeffers Pro Cars have been rigorous at work in putting it back together, the quick turnaround time made it nearly impossible for it to be ready for Virginia.
No worries, though, as Tutterow will run a twin-turbocharged Plymouth Duster at VMP after some remarkable test sessions that your agent can verify as valid.
As revealed on “ADRL Drag Racing Live” on Tuesday, Tutterow went an incredible 3.88 at a whopping 216 miles per hour during a test session.
He will certainly have to improve the E.T. to qualify – and remain in the championship hunt – but Tutterow is clearly onto something here.
Getting turbo-powered cars to perform in the 1/8-mile has been a difficult task, but if anyone can solve it, Tutterow is on the short list of candidates.
Your agent can’t wait to see what he comes up with in Virginia, that’s for sure.
