For the next several races, Frankie “Mad Man†Taylor has decided to go back to his record setting ways by switching to his supercharger set-up.Â
“I have not given up on the turbos as I think they will be fast. We just need more time to test,†said Taylor.
“It killed me to not qualify in the last two ADRL races. Me and my team expected more out of the performance side. We are going back to what we know for now.â€
Meanwhile, the Bullseye Power twin turbos will be placed in Richard Patterson’s ’51 Chevy that is currently on loan to the Taylor’s. Testing will increase over the next month and hopefully the turbos will reappear in Taylor’s yellow Corvette this summer.
Taylor Racing is excited to return to Maple Grove Raceway for this weekend’s Northeast Drags II as the Taylor Team set the current e.t. World Record last year with a 3.581-second pass.
