MagnaFuel Adds To ADRL Sponsorship, Becomes Official Fuel Pump Of ADRL

MagnaFuel has been associated with the American Drag Racing League (ADRL) since the inception of the world’s premier eighth-mile drag racing league.

On Thursday, the ADRL announced the relationship has gone to new heights.

A longtime contingency sponsor, MagnaFuel is adding to its ADRL sponsorship, continuing to offer contingency while also becoming the Official Fuel Pump of the ADRL for the 2012 season.

“Through what we’ve seen, the ADRL and the business has grown and we want to take our sponsorship to the next level,” MagnaFuel President Robbie Ward said. “This is an exciting move for us and we wanted to take it up a notch and get even more involved with the ADRL.”

Created in 1995, MagnaFuel, based out of Colorado Springs, Colo., has designed and manufactured premium, long-lasting, durable and high-performance fuel systems for nearly two decades, working closely with some of the top names in drag racing.

MagnaFuel’s Carbureted ProStar 500 pumps have been a popular product for years, while Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) ProStar pumps continue to gain in popularity.

The ADRL allowing EFI in Extreme Pro Stock for the first time in 2012 has also opened up new opportunities for MagnaFuel and its EFI pumps.

“This is a great step for us. We’ve always been kind of the smaller company in the market, but we’ve always dealt with upper-end clientele. Working with the ADRL in this capacity is just a natural fit for us,” Ward said.

“Every year, we’ve worked with the world champion in at least Extreme Pro Stock and we’ve continued to see the sales on our product expand.”

MagnaFuel’s belt drive line has also expanded and the growing company will soon have the capability to work with all ADRL classes, including Pro Extreme.

Currently, MagnaFuel is the choice of XPS world champions Cary Goforth and John Montecalvo, as well as XPS standouts Dean Goforth, Brian Gahm and Todd Hoerner, Pro Nitrous drivers Jim Halsey, Chris Patrick and Tommy Franklin, Pro Modified driver Jeff Naiser and many more.

“With the ADRL adding the Top Sportsman class, that’s an area that has created a lot of opportunity for us as well,” Ward said. “Working with the ADRL is a great way to create appeal for both drivers and fans at these races.”

The fourth stop on the 10-race 2012 ADRL Tour takes place on June 1-2 with the Gateway Drags IV presented by CarSafe at Gateway Motorsports Park.
