Partnering with the American Drag Racing League (ADRL) has proven to be a win-win situation for Innovators West as they sign on to become the Official Harmonic Damper of the ADRL for 2012.

The company has formed strong relationships with ADRL racers, but Innovators West has also taken advantage of the strong crowds at each ADRL event to create lasting relationships with fans, helping take the business to new heights.

The partnership with the ADRL will continue in 2012, as the world’s premier eighth-mile drag racing league announced on Thursday that Innovators West will be the Official Harmonic Damper of the ADRL for the 2012 season.

“We’ve gotten a very good response from customers because of the sponsorship and we’re thrilled to again be working with the ADRL,” Innovators West Sales and Marketing Manager Chris Rose said.

“The ADRL has always been a highly-respected organization, getting a lot of attention and drawing a lot of fans to the races. That helps and benefits us as well, and gets our name out there.”

In addition to being named the Official Harmonic Damper of the ADRL, Innovators West will continue its sponsorship of talented Extreme Pro Stock (XPS) driver Brad Waddle during the 2012 ADRL Tour, which begins March 30-31 with CarSafe Dragpalooza VIII at Royal Purple Raceway in Houston.

For more than 25 years, Innovators West has been an industry leader in producing harmonic dampers.

It’s proven to be popular choice for everything from professional race cars to street vehicles, offering high-quality dampers that are also SFI approved.

By working with the ADRL, Innovators West has continued to gain more name recognition in drag racing, becoming a top choice for street and strip cars.

“These dampers are not just for race cars, but street cars as well, so we sell a lot to those fans in the stands, people driving Corvettes, Mustangs and Camaros,” Rose said.

“Our aluminum damper has a steel hub that minimizes the overall weight without sacrificing the strength or dampening ability. It is not uncommon to bolt on one of our overdrive dampers onto a Shelby GT500 and pick up 70-80 horsepower immediately.”
“I think it’s satisfying to people to know their street car has the same quality damper as a race car in the ADRL.”

The Innovators West-sponsored XPS team continues to make strong strides heading into 2012 as well.

Waddle had a solid first full year driving in the ADRL in 2011, advancing to the semifinals in Maple Grove and qualifying for all but one race.

Waddle showed consistent improvement throughout and could be an even bigger player in one of the ADRL’s most competitive classes in 2012.

“On the racing side, we’re really excited. We have worked hard to in the off-season to pick up power as well as upgrade the car. We are starting to get some consistency to the program,” Rose said.

“Hopefully we can turn that corner, qualify higher and make it to more finals.  We are definitely looking forward to that first win in the ADRL.”

The 2012 ADRL Tour consists of 10 stops and many of the nation’s most prestigious tracks.

“We’re thrilled to have Innovators West as the Official Harmonic Damper of the ADRL,” ADRL Executive Vice President Jeff Fortune said.

“It’s exciting to seem them working so closely with our drivers and fans, and we certainly expect that will continue in 2012.”
