Flying A Motorsports Returns As ADRL’s Official Truck And Trailer Supplier

Often seen roaming the pits during the 2011 American Drag Racing League (ADRL) season, Flying A Motorsports Owner Alan Cape thoroughly enjoyed his return to drag racing.

On Thursday, the world’s premier eighth-mile drag racing league announced it will continue, as the ADRL named Flying A Motorsports its Official Truck and Trailer Supplier for the 2012 season.

As the company did in 2011, it will offer trackside service for ADRL teams free of charge. Any type of assistance that can be provided on the spot will be done at no cost, while other repairs can be scheduled for upcoming events.

Cape and Flying A Motorsports will also sponsor a new Classified page on the ADRL website (www.ADRL.us) which will cater to more ADRL-oriented equipment.

“This is something I really enjoyed last year and I’m really excited to be working with the ADRL again in 2012. I formed a great relationship with them and ended up working with a lot of people,” Cape said.

“I was treated really well and met a lot of new people. That was the best thing, getting to know the racers and teams, and I think 2012 is going to be even better.”

Flying A Motorsports is also supplying the ADRL with a new 34-foot bumper tag-along trailer that will be at each event on the 2012 ADRL Tour, which begins March 30-31 with CarSafe Dragpalooza VIII at Royal Purple Raceway in Houston.

Cape and Flying A have also built a new official ADRL apparel trailer that will sell all the official ADRL apparel and merchandise at every race.

In addition, Flying A Motorsports will be taking a motorhome to each event, which will be fully-equipped to again help racing teams.

“As far as repair work, we will be ready for anything, from hardcore mechanical things like axle and suspension work, to electrical issues as well,” Cape said. “We’re going to try to continue to take care of everybody who needs it.

“The new apparel and ADRL trailer will look great and we can’t wait to see it at the first race.”

With more than 20 years in the truck and trailer business, Flying A Motorsports is one of the largest dealers in the country and offers a variety of high-quality trailers, RVs and campers.

“Alan and Flying A Motorsports go above and beyond in providing some tremendous services to our teams, and we are thrilled to have them returning as an official partner in 2012,” ADRL Executive Vice President Jeff Fortune said.

“It was an incredible help to many of our teams last year, and with our new ADRL trailer as a prime example, the products Flying A Motorsports offers are second to none.”

Cape also plans to put a number of packages together, such as truck and trailer options, specifically for ADRL competitors in an effort to offer truck and trailer selections more suited to their needs.

He has already worked closely with a number of ADRL competitors in providing new trailers and continues to enjoy the relationship he has built with ADRL teams and drivers.

“I would have never talked to some of these guys if I had not been at the races,” Cape said. “We were able to help several people in big ways and a lot of little areas as well.

“It was a really, really good season and I plan on being involved with the ADRL for a long time. I can’t say enough about the people I worked with and the people I met.”
