Your agent just received an e-mail from the fine folks at SFI regarding the Spec 38.1 Revisions Enforcement Schedule.
Here is what it said and the above chart should help answer any questions as well:
With reference to SFI Specification 38.1, which pertains to Head and Neck Restraint Systems, in accordance with Articles 2.7 and 16.0, participating sanctioning bodies will be afforded the option of extending the enforcement date of the new inspection and recertification requirements by ninety (90) days forward from the January 1, 2012 revision effective date.
As a result, all sanctioning bodies that incorporate Specification 38.1 within their rules and regulations should be prepared to commence inspection and recertification requirement enforcement no later than April 1, 2012.
